Using the Cleaner App
How to use the Servella cleaner app to manage your work.
The Servella cleaner app is your complete work management tool. From viewing your schedule to tracking earnings and completing training, everything you need is in one place. The app is available for both iPhone (iOS) and Android devices. This guide walks you through all the key features.
Getting started
Once you're accepted as a Servella cleaner, you'll receive login credentials for the app. Download the Servella Staff app from the App Store or Google Play Store, then sign in with your email and password. After your first login, you can enable biometric login (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) for quicker access.
Schedule tab
The Schedule tab is your home screen and shows all your assigned jobs. You can view your schedule by day, week, or month to plan ahead. For each job, you'll see:
- Job date and scheduled time
- Duration - how long the clean should take
- Customer name
- Full address with postcode
- Service type (regular clean, deep clean, etc.)
- Quick buttons to call the customer or get directions
- Jobs grouped by day with "Today" and "Tomorrow" labels for easy reference
Available tab
The Available tab shows job opportunities that you can express interest in. When a job becomes available in your area, it will appear here. For each available job, you'll see:
- Job date, time, and duration
- Area/location of the job
- Service type
- How long the opportunity remains available (expiry time)
- Express Interest button - tap to let the manager know you're interested
- Withdraw Interest button - if you change your mind before being assigned
When you express interest in a job, the manager will be notified and may assign the job to you. Jobs with shorter expiry times are more urgent, so act quickly on opportunities you want.
Messages tab
The Messages tab lets you communicate directly with the Servella support team. Use this for:
- Questions about bookings or customers
- Reporting issues or concerns
- Schedule changes or availability updates
- General support enquiries
Starting and ending jobs
On the day of a booking, you'll manage the job status through the app. When you tap on a job, you'll see full details including:
- Customer contact number with quick call/message buttons
- Full address with "Get Directions" button for navigation
- Service type, date, time, and duration breakdown
- Base clean duration plus any extras (inside oven, inside fridge, etc.)
- Special notes from the customer
- Start Job button - tap when you arrive and are ready to begin
- End Job button - tap when the clean is complete
Location tracking
When you start or end a job, the app records your location. This helps verify that you arrived at the correct address and completed the job on site. You'll need to grant location permission for the app to record this information. The app only records your location at the moment you start or end a job - it doesn't track you continuously.
Earnings
The Earnings section shows your complete payment information:
- Weekly earnings - your total for the current pay period (Monday-Sunday)
- Monthly earnings - view by month for longer-term tracking
- Job-by-job breakdown - tap any job to see base rate, bonuses, deductions, and tips
- Payment history - view past payments and when they were made
- Download statements - get PDF invoices for your records and tax returns
Documents
The Documents section is where you upload and manage your identity documents. During onboarding, you'll need to upload proof of identity and right to work. Accepted documents include:
- Passport (UK or foreign)
- Driving licence
- Biometric Residence Permit (BRP)
- National ID card
- Right to Work share code
Training
The Training section shows all training courses assigned to you. Training may be mandatory (required before certain jobs) or optional (to develop your skills). Each course shows:
- Course title and description
- Whether it's mandatory or optional
- Progress tracking (not started, in progress, completed)
- Deadline if applicable
- Quizzes or assessments to complete
Bank details
The Bank Details section is where you set up and manage your payment information. You can:
- Enter your bank account details manually
- Scan your bank card using your phone camera for quick entry
- Update your details if your bank account changes
- Your account name must match your verified identity for security
Reporting incidents
If something goes wrong during a booking, you can report an incident directly from the job details screen. Tap "Report Incident" to:
- Describe what happened
- Attach photos if relevant
- Alert the Servella team so they can take appropriate action
- Create a record for any disputes or insurance claims
More menu
The More tab gives you access to all your account settings and additional features. It's organised into sections:
Account section
Manage your personal information and app settings:
- My Profile - update your personal information and profile picture
- Documents - upload and manage your identity documents
- Bank Details - set up or update your payment information
- Notification Settings - control which alerts you receive
- Security - change your password or enable biometric login (Face ID/fingerprint)
Work section
Access tools related to your work:
- Training - view and complete assigned training courses
- Earnings - track your income and download statements
- Incidents - view and report incidents from bookings
Legal section
View important legal documents:
- Terms & Conditions - the terms of working with Servella
- Privacy Policy - how we handle your data
You can also sign out of the app from the More menu when needed.
